Job summary

S&C Electric Company is seeking a Staff Mold Design Engineer to advance tooling and fixtures for high-yield manufacturing processes. You will design tooling and fixtures with 3D CAD, conduct design reviews, and help translate design needs into supplier-ready specifications.

Expect to lead continuous improvement efforts and mentor teammates. The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering and 10+ years in tooling/manufacturing, with expertise in SolidEdge CAD and Lean/Six Sigma.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of manufacturing tooling experience.
• Strong drafting and 3D CAD modeling skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and organization.
• Ability to work independently in a production environment.
• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma.

Responsibilities

• Support operations to achieve yield and scrap goals by solving tooling issues.
• Improve efficiency through continuous tooling/process improvements.
• Design tooling/fixtures and mechanical systems using 3D CAD.
• Conduct design reviews with stakeholders and recommend paths.
• Write specifications for tooling design for RFQ and procurement.
• Plan and supervise tooling installation and start-up.
