Job summary

Dynomax is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design injection molds and manage tool life cycle for electrical components. You will design molds to customer prints, participate in design reviews, and develop manufacturability improvements.

Responsibilities include quoting mold tool requests, maintaining tool metrics, and using Solidworks and Epicor to document processes. Requires hands-on mold design experience and a plastics engineering background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Plastics Engineering degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and quote new mold tool requests.
• Design injection molds for new parts to customer print and specifications.
• Participate in design reviews, ensuring molds meet requirements while manufacturable.
• Establish tool maintenance metrics and design repairs for mold tools.
• Prepare layouts, drawings, and docs using CAD (SolidWorks).
• Use Epicor to create Methods of Manufacture and routing packets.
• Track tooling component inventory and ensure stock.
• Suggest design standard updates and process improvements.
