Job summary

Plan B Climatech, a leading MEP engineering firm serving Greater Boston, seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own high‑complexity design across mission critical, healthcare, and life sciences projects.

You will lead from concept through construction administration, mentor junior engineers, and present design recommendations to owners, architects, and contractors in a hybrid Boston role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience in MEP/building systems.
• Massachusetts PE license or eligibility by reciprocity.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design from concept through construction administration for data center, healthcare, and life sciences projects.
• Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and structural teams to deliver integrated MEP solutions.
• Present design recommendations to owners, architects, and contractors.
• Review and stamp construction documents, specs, and calculations.
• Mentor junior engineers on standards and best practices; stay current with ASHRAE/NFPA/MA codes.
