Job summary

ASRC Federal NetCentric Technologies seeks a Mechanical Engineer to support Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, NM. The role involves sustaining mission critical facilities and preparing design documentation including SOWs, specs, drawings, and calculations.

Collaboration with government teams is essential to ensure mission success. The ideal candidate has a 5+ year background in facility engineering, a PE license is preferred, and you must be able to obtain DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a related field.
• Ability to obtain professional registration as an engineer or architect within one year.
• Three years’ experience in facility and infrastructure engineering.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office products.
• Able to prepare presentations for and brief customer leadership.
• Must pass a drug screen and maintain DoD security clearance.
• Valid US driver’s license and professional, courteous conduct.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design documentation: statements of work, specs, drawings, calculations, and references.
• Evaluate and approve submittals; provide technical approach assessments.
• Use math to perform HVAC and plumbing design calculations.
• Recommend new or corrective actions: schedules, staffing, funds, and work requirements.
• Collaborate with Government teams across client organizations.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research and summarize findings.
• Translate insights into draft deliverables and innovative solutions.
