Job summary

ASRC Federal NetCentric Technologies is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, NM. The role involves sustaining mission-critical facilities and infrastructure and preparing design documentation including statements of work, specifications, drawings, calculations, and building code references.

The position requires a ABET-accredited mechanical engineering degree, 5+ years in a related field, and the ability to obtain US professional registration within a year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a related field.
• Ability to obtain professional registration as an engineer or architect in the US within one year of hire.
• Three years’ experience in facility and infrastructure engineering.
• Proven ability to prepare presentations for and brief customer leadership.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Must possess or maintain DoD security clearance.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen.
• Valid US driver’s license required.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design documentation including statements of work, specifications, drawings, sketches, calculations, and building code references.
• Evaluate and approve submittals; provide technical approach assessments.
• Perform HVAC and plumbing design calculations.
• Recommend action measures such as schedule revisions and resource allocations.
• Collaborate with Government and client teams across interconnected requirements.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative data research to identify trends and opportunities.
• Translate interview and meeting insights into draft deliverables and products.
• Develop creative solutions to client issues and project approaches.
