Job summary

Stantec’s MCF Engineering team is seeking a Mid-level MCF Engineer to deliver basic system designs under supervision, coordinate with designers and multiple disciplines, and prepare client deliverables for data-center projects.

The role requires an accredited engineering degree and a minimum of 3 years’ experience, with PE/FE certification preferred. Data center exposure is a plus; relocation to any Stantec office is possible for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 3 years related industry experience.
• Registered PE/FE or EIT preferred.
• Datacenter experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develops basic system designs within own discipline under supervision of a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer; this includes the ability to offer solutions to general technical problems.
• Delegates tasks to project designers as appropriate.
• Works in conjunction with the project team to prepare project deliverables per the client’s intent and scope of work outlined in the proposal.
• Coordinates well with all disciplines to fully integrate work and client requests into design.
• Follows quality management process; reviews project deliverables prior to submission to QA/AC reviewer.
• Assists with reviews of shop drawings and submittals, RFI responses, site observation reports and punch lists, attends project coordination meetings, and performs other CA tasks.
• Actively participates in the engineering/Professional community to build personal knowledge and professional growth (e.g. attend meetings / seminars / conferences).
• Assists the Project Engineer on project related tasks.
• Meets or exceeds utilization goals and adheres to project budget.
