Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Houston, TX or Dallas, TX offices. You will design HVAC, hydronic and automated temperature control systems, and integrate complex mechanical requirements into facility designs.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with internal teams and external vendors, and participate in client meetings to drive project success. Travel to client sites may be required as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with mechanical building systems emphasis.
• 5–7 years designing mechanical systems for high-performing commercial, industrial or mission-critical/data-center buildings.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace and Pipeflow.

Responsibilities

• Independently support the project team during design and construction stages.
• Design air distribution, hydronic and automated temperature controls systems.
• Develop drawings and specifications for issuance to architects, contractors and building owners.
• Attend client meetings and coordinate with vendors and manufacturers.
• Mentor junior engineers and track mechanical disciplines (HVAC, Energy, Controls, etc.).
• Perform CFD evaluations for existing and new facilities.
