Job summary

DLR Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a focus on data center projects in Chicago and other locations. The role involves designing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for technically complex facilities and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.

The successful candidate will have 10+ years in MEP/design, 5+ years in data center projects, and strong BIM/Revit experience, with a PE license preferred. This is a full-time position with offices nationwide.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical or architectural engineering.
• 10+ years in MEP or integrated design on commercial/public projects.
• 5+ years of data center design experience.
• Experience communicating with multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects and engineers on integrated design processes.
• Create and review mechanical/HVAC calculations and code research.
• Develop specifications and review shop drawings and RFIs.
• Coordinate with project teams and lead site visits as needed.
