Job summary

Panthalassa is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer, Marine Operations, to design, build, and test bespoke support equipment for automated deployment, retrieval, inspection, and maintenance of offshore assets. You will drive cradle-to-grave mechanical asset development, conduct trade studies, and ensure operational readiness.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years' hardware development experience, strong marine engineering fundamentals, and Siemens NX proficiency.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in mechanical engineering.
• 5+ years of experience owning hardware development from concept to commissioning.
• Strong understanding of welding structures, hydraulics/pneumatics, industrial automation and data acquisition.
• Ability to solve problems with vague requirements and manage vendor relations.
• Proficient with 3D modeling software (Siemens NX preferred).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Responsible Engineer for automated marine support systems.
• Carry out trade studies to identify architectures and requirements.
• Perform engineering analyses and develop detailed designs.
• Oversee fabrication, testing, and commissioning of assets.
• Support offshore operations during initial commissioning and sustaining engineering.
