Job summary

Voyager Technologies in Mojave, California seeks a Sr. Mechanical Engineer for Lunar Systems to design, analyze and build primary and secondary structures and mechanisms for space propulsion programs.

You will lead a team of engineers, coordinate tasks, review CAD drawings and test results, manage vendors, and present technical content while working onsite or in a hybrid setting in a mission-driven, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years in mechanical/aerospace field.
• Experience designing structural and mechanism components and assemblies.
• Knowledge of analyzing components for harsh environments (vibration, shock, acoustic).
• Vendor management to procure components with quality, cost, and schedule objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of mechanical engineers for primary/secondary structure and mechanisms.
• Coordinate day-to-day tasks across the team.
• Develop and ensure tools, methods, and best practices are followed.
• Review CAD drawings, analyses, and test reports for standards.
• Create and execute test plans and document results.
• Create designs, analyses and test plans.
• Manage vendors to procure components, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule objectives are met.
• Present programmatic and technical content.
