Job summary

Voyager Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for Lunar Systems to design, analyze, and build primary/secondary structures and mechanisms. The role reports to the Structures, Analysis, and Mechanism Manager within the Propulsion and Test Department.

The position can be based in Long Beach, CA or Mojave, CA, with monthly travel to the other site. Requires a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering with 5 years of aerospace experience, and willingness to travel up to 5% of time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of experience in the mechanical or Aerospace field.
• Experience designing structural and mechanism components and assemblies.
• Knowledge of how to analyze components to harsh environments (vibration, shock, acoustic).
• Manage vendors to procure components, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule objectives are met.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of mechanical engineers for primary/secondary structure and mechanisms.
• Coordinate day-to-day tasks across the team.
• Develop and ensure tools, methods, and best practices are followed.
• Review technical content, such as CAD drawings, analysis, and test reports meet standards.
• Create and execute test plans and document the results.
• Create designs, analysis and test plans.
• Manage vendors to procure components, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule objectives are met.
• Present programmatic and technical content.
