Voyager Technologies in Pittsburgh is seeking a Senior Propulsion Engineer to design, build, test, and operate propulsion systems for spacecraft and lunar landers. You will lead a technical team, coordinate with program management and subsystems, and develop detailed propulsion components and integration instructions.

The role requires strong propulsion knowledge, vendor management, and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree and multi-year propulsion experience.
• Knowledge of propulsion architecture, components and suppliers.
• Experience coordinating a technical team on long-term projects.
• Vendor management and requirements verification for propulsion components.
• Ability to drive engineering rigor to meet quality, cost and schedule goals.
• Strong verbal and written communication for reports and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, integration, testing and operation of propulsion systems for spacecraft and lunar landers.
• Coordinate with program management, systems engineering and subsystems to manage requirements, progress, schedule and risks.
• Create conceptual and detailed designs for hypergolic propulsion system components.
• Develop specifications for vendor-supplied parts and review manufacturing processes.
• Prepare integration instructions and support spacecraft assembly in cleanroom.
• Support safety reviews and on-site vendor hardware testing.
• Write mission operations procedures and provide real-time support.
