Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Mechanical/Process Engineer to support a growing LNG, industrial gas, and hydrocarbon infrastructure portfolio across North America. This role suits engineers with strong fundamentals in piping systems, pressure vessels, rotating equipment, or process systems, and an eagerness to apply experience to LNG and cryogenic applications.

The successful candidate will lead mechanical design efforts, collaborate with multi-discipline teams, and contribute to feasibility studies,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license and 10+ years in mechanical system design.
• Experience with LNG, cryogenic systems, or industrial gas facilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical or discipline design on multiple projects with multi-discipline teams.
• Prepare equipment specifications and support procurement activities.
• Perform pipe stress analysis (AutoPIPE) and engineering evaluations.
• Support feasibility studies, conceptual design, and project cost estimating.
• Provide field support including site visits, inspections, and commissioning/start-up assistance.
