Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Mechanical/Process Engineer to support LNG, industrial gas, and hydrocarbon infrastructure projects across North America. This role targets engineers with strong fundamentals in piping systems, pressure vessels, rotating equipment, or process systems who want to apply their experience to LNG and cryogenic applications.

The successful candidate will join a multi-discipline team delivering engineering and design services for energy facilities, including system upgrades,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and PE license.
• At least 10 years of mechanical system design experience in commercial or institutional facilities.
• Experience with piping design and stress analysis tools such as AutoPIPE or Caesar II.
• Leadership and project management experience in engineering consulting or AE firms.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical/process system designs including P&IDs, equipment sizing, and calculations.
• Prepare equipment and design specifications and support procurement.
• Perform pipe stress analysis and engineering evaluations.
• Lead multi-discipline teams on projects and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Provide field support, site visits, and commissioning assistance.
