Job summary

Vertiv in Austin, TX is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer – Server Liquid Systems to lead the design, analysis and integration of liquid-cooling hardware for next generation data center solutions.

You will develop cold plates, RDHX assemblies, manifolds and piping, create Creo models and drawings, and support CFD/FEA analyses while collaborating across functions and guiding prototype builds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience in thermal-mechanical or cooling hardware.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications; proficient in Creo.

Responsibilities

• Design cold plates, RDHX assemblies, manifolds, piping for new product development.
• Develop microchannel geometries optimizing pressure drop and heat transfer.
• Support CFD and FEA analyses for cold plate design and structural integrity.
• Create 3D models and drawings in Creo with design intent.
• Collaborate across functions and support manufacturing during prototyping and testing.
• Lead group discussions and oversee CAD work as needed.
