Job summary

Current Lighting seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to oversee engineering duties across a portfolio of lighting products. You will manage Engineered-to-Order designs, prototype builds, and cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, product management, and quality teams.

The role requires a 4-year engineering degree, 5–7 years of related experience, strong Excel, CAD (2D/3D), SAP ERP, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• A 4-year degree in Engineering and 5-7 years of related experience is preferred.
• Excellent communications skills: interpersonal, listening, oral, and written.

Responsibilities

• Manage order flow and design/testing/documentation of Engineered-to-Order (ETO) products for specific customer demands.
• Coordinate testing requirements and complete prototype builds to support marketing and sales needs such as product expansions.
• Perform profitability improvement (VEA) projects such as product-cost reductions and/or inventory reductions.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to implement product discontinuations and dispose of obsolete products as needed.
• Provide technical assistance to Warranty/Quality/Technical Service requests.
• Create drawings and 3D models to support updates to the product portfolio.
