Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design projects in the Life Sciences sector (Pharmaceutical and Biotech). You will guide project teams from concept through construction, adapt plans to client needs, and ensure compliance with codes and standards.

The role requires strong leadership, global collaboration, and a track record in delivering complex EPC projects. Chemical and regulatory familiarity is a plus; travel to sites will be expected.

Qualificações

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program with 7 years of mechanical engineering experience; EPC project experience preferred.
• Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 6 years of experience; EPC project experience preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; strong knowledge of ASME, ANSI, API, PIP, NACE codes.
• Experience leading discipline design for large projects and managing teams; ability to resolve issues and drive execution.
• Strong communication skills, methodical analytics, and attention to detail; travel ability.

Responsabilidades

• Lead mechanical design for projects from conceptual phase through design completion.
• Design mechanical, plumbing and utility systems per code and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare specifications, RFQs, bid summaries, and procurement recommendations.
• Review vendor drawings and interface data with suppliers, clients and other disciplines.
• Develop project schedules, budgets, staffing plans and manage change orders.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and designers.
• Ensure QA/QC adherence and compliance with safety policies.
• Build client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
