Job summary

CRB is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to design mechanical systems for complex facilities and take ownership of project scope while mentoring junior team members.

You will contribute across the full project lifecycle—from concept through construction—working with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, coordinated designs. A PE license and ABET-accredited degree are required, with 5+ years in mechanical design and BIM proficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering (ABET-accredited).
  • 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical system design (AEC environment preferred).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Experience designing HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial or industrial facilities.
  • Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, codes, and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design HVAC and mechanical utility systems for new construction, renovations, and process-driven environments.
  • Lead the mechanical scope for small to mid-sized projects or major portions of larger projects.
  • Manage deadlines, deliverables, and mechanical budgets for assigned work.
  • Contribute to all phases of design, including conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction.
  • Mentor and support the development of junior engineers and designers.
