Job summary

GBA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical utility systems for biopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities in Colorado. You will develop concepts, perform calculations, and review team work to ensure regulatory compliance and high quality results.

The role requires a PE license, 7+ years of experience in Life Sciences or regulated environments, and proficiency with Revit (AutoCAD a plus).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience designing building systems for Life Sciences, biopharmaceutical, or biotech facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical utility systems for complex biopharmaceutical and biotech facilities.
• Develop mechanical design concepts that respond to client requirements, goals, and budget.
• Perform engineering calculations, equipment selections, and system evaluations; review colleague work.
• Evaluate existing systems and develop retrofit, replacement, and upgrade strategies.
• Coordinate with clients to establish design criteria and communicate recommendations.
