Job summary

GBA in Broomfield, CO is seeking an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer to join our Life Sciences team. You will design mechanical systems, prepare construction documents, review shop drawings, and verify permitting and code requirements while assisting with evaluations and commissioning.

You'll work with senior staff in a multi-disciplinary office environment, using AutoCAD (REVIT a plus) on projects for bio-pharma facilities, labs, and pilot plants, with base pay in the $75k–$80k range.

Qualifications

• BS in Architectural or Mechanical Engineering.
• 0–2 years of experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• REVIT experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC, plumbing, and controls.
• Prepare construction documents for mechanical systems.
• Review shop drawings and RFIs.
• Verify permitting and code compliance.
• Assist with facility evaluations and engineering studies.
• Assist with troubleshooting and commissioning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job: Entry Level - Mechanical Engineer (Life Sciences)

The Life Sciences team at GBA is growing and in need of a candidate in our Broomfield, CO office. Serving many of the world’s top 20 bio-pharma companies, the Life Sciences group is an integrated team of architects, engineers, commissioning specialists, project managers, and construction managers. Project assignments include manufacturing facilities, research facilities, clean room, R&D/QA labs, and pilot plants. Entry-level Engineers work closely with GBA's senior staff in the design of mechanical systems associated with pharmaceutical, industrial, warehouse, and office facilities.

What You'll Do

• Design various mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing and HVAC controls
• Prepare construction documents for various mechanical systems
• Review of shop drawings and RFI's
• Verification of permitting and code requirements
• Assist with facility evaluation and engineering studies
• Assist with troubleshooting and commissioning
• Other duties as assigned.
