Job summary

Burrow Global in Deer Park is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Engineering Lead to drive equipment design and piping projects through FEL and detailed design. You will lead teams, manage RFQs and RFPs, and ensure equipment selections meet project requirements.

The role requires 10–15 years of experience, strong leadership, and in-depth knowledge of ASME/API/ANSI and related standards. A PE license is preferred and US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 10–15 years in mechanical engineering with emphasis on equipment design, piping, and stress analysis in refineries/chemical plants.
• US citizenship or valid work authorization required; visa sponsorship unavailable.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment design, equipment selection, and purchasing packages.
• Experience with industry codes and guidelines such as ASME, API, ANSI, PIP, and more.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects focusing on equipment design and piping systems during FEL and detailed design stages.
• Prepare and review equipment data sheets, RFQs, bid tabulations, and RFPs for mechanical and rotating equipment.
• Demonstrate expertise in piping stress analysis and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Oversee compliance with ASME, API, ANSI, PIP, ASHRAE, ASTM, TEMA, AWS, MSS-SP, OSHA, and NACE codes.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate multidisciplinary teams from concept through execution.
