Job summary

Burrow Global in Deer Park, TX, seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Engineering Lead to drive mechanical projects for refineries and process plants. You will lead FEL and detailed design, oversee RFQs, and guide equipment selection and piping systems.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, ensure compliance with ASME, API, ANSI and OSHA codes, and promote safety and efficiency across projects in a dynamic office environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 10–15 years of relevant experience in mechanical equipment design and piping stress analysis.
• US citizenship or eligible to work in the US; visa sponsorship not provided.
• Experience with ASME, API, ANSI, PIP and related codes.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from FEL through detailed design.
• Prepare and review equipment data sheets, RFQs, bid tabulations, and RFPs for mechanical equipment.
• Ensure equipment selections meet project requirements and codes.
• Oversee piping stress analysis for complex systems.
• Coordinate across cross-functional teams and communicate with clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and improve project workflows.
