Job summary

LaBella Associates in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in the Building Engineering division to lead HVAC, plumbing and fire protection design for new construction and renovation projects. The role emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and providing technical leadership.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with clients and internal teams, develop concepts and construction documents, and contribute to business development to grow client

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in an A/E services firm.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Strong writing, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and multi-task efficiently.
• Tennessee Professional Engineer’s License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts, strategies, construction documents and reports for building renovation projects.
• Provide mechanical leadership for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design within large projects.
• Interact with clients to analyze design options and communicate results.
• Direct mechanical project teams to meet goals and maintain quality work.
• Manage project financials and schedule; participate in business development.
• Prepare proposals and maintain client relationships.
