Job summary

LaBella Associates in Frederick, MD is hiring a Mechanical Engineer for our Building Engineering Division. The role focuses on HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design, with field work and design responsibilities across new construction and renovations.

You will collaborate with engineers to develop concepts, drawings, and reports, and support construction administration. A team player with strong analytical skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 4–6 years of experience in an A/E consulting firm preferred.
• Well rounded experience in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Experience with Revit or AutoCAD preferred.
• Field experience preferred; Professional Engineer license is a plus.
• Ability to work well with a team and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• System selection and calculations for design purposes.
• Conduct field work to document existing conditions.
• Develop drawings with building modeling software with Jr Engineers.
• Work independently and as part of a team to complete project designs.
• Construction phase services such as submittal review and site visits to monitor project progress.
