ENGEL Machinery North America is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design 3D models and 2D drawings for automation cells, retrofits, and configurations. You will lead the ME team, oversee standards, and drive BOM accuracy while supporting field activities.

Qualifications

• 3D modeling of custom automation equipment.
• 2D drawings and 3D models for automation cells and retrofits.

Responsibilities

• 3D modeling of automation equipment and peripheral handling equipment.
• Modify library components for reuse in new projects.
• Create mechanical designs per safety standards.
• Develop 2D drawings for automated cells and parts.
• Prepare bill of materials for production orders.
• Maintain BOM for delivered equipment; add materials as needed.
• Provide ME support for field work and project kick-offs.
• Lead ME team and enforce design quality standards.
• Assist with project quoting and labour estimates.
• Mentor team in labor hour estimation and time management.
• Support internal production assembly and pre-assembly for new builds.
