Job summary

CP Engineers seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to provide technical leadership within the mechanical team, developing project scopes, budgets, and overseeing design work for high-quality outputs. The role includes hands-on design support and the ability to review, sign, and seal drawings for various projects.

Up to 10% travel may be required; candidate will mentor junior engineers and coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure compliance with codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Maintain active PE license in Pennsylvania (with ability to obtain NJ PE).
• 7–10 years mechanical engineering experience with leadership or supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering design for HVAC, plumbing, and systems across commercial, industrial, municipal, and infrastructure projects.
• Review, sign, and seal drawings; provide hands-on design support as needed.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and develop complete plan sets, specs, and bid/construction documents.
