Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its Building Engineering Services team in Atlanta. You will lead mechanical design efforts and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality projects on schedule.

Responsibilities include client relations, code compliance reviews, and guiding project progression from schematic through construction documents. A PE license and 10+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
Minimum 10 years of mechanical system design experience in commercial or institutional buildings.
PE license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered (e.g., PE or P.Eng).

Responsibilities

Coordinate the work of Mechanical Engineers within a multidiscipline team across projects.
Establish client relations and participate in meetings on mechanical systems.
Lead mechanical design efforts on multiple projects.
Participate in reviews with agencies for code compliance.
Conduct schematic, design development and contract document sessions with PM, architect and other disciplines.
Coordinate workload to meet project schedules and manage finances.
