Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to coordinate the work of Mechanical Engineers across multidisciplinary teams on project development. You will establish client relations and participate in meetings regarding mechanical systems, and assume the mechanical lead on multiple projects.

You will conduct reviews with authorities for code compliance, and lead sessions on schematic, design development and contract documents at project sites with the Project Manager and other disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years in mechanical system design for commercial or institutional buildings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD.
• Demonstrated leadership, team coordination and project management experience.
• Active participation in an employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical engineers across multidisciplinary teams on project development.
• Establish client relations and participate in meetings with regard to mechanical systems.
• Lead mechanical aspects on multiple projects.
• Participate in code compliance reviews with authorities having jurisdiction.
• Conduct sessions with Project Manager and others on schematic, design development and contract documents at project sites.
• Coordinate workload to meet schedules and manage project budgets.
• Work with Project Manager and Regional leadership for project reviews.
