Actalent is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Austin, TX to review, validate, and coordinate mechanical design packages for a large industrial facility construction project, covering wet and dry systems and coordinating with the Engineer of Record and General Contractor.

You will lead design reviews, support permit submissions, resolve RFIs, and ensure compliance with ICC, ASHRAE, SMACNA, and ANSI codes, using Revit and BIM tools for clash detection.

Qualificações

• Experience delivering industrial facility projects from concept through permit and construction Drawings.
• Ability to review permits and ensure code compliance across ICC, ASHRAE, SMACNA, ANSI standards.
• Experience with RFI tracking and submittal management in a construction setting.

Responsabilidades

• Review and validate mechanical design packages for industrial facility construction, including wet and dry systems such as HVAC, plumbing, cooling towers, and chillers.
• Perform detailed mechanical design reviews at milestones, focusing on HVAC and fire protection during design.
• Coordinate with Engineer of Record and General Contractor to review RFIs and submittals and resolve design questions.
• Disposition contractor submittals to align with drawings and specifications and drive RFI closure.
• Lead BIM-based clash detection and coordination of structural and MEP interfaces.
• Assist in permit submissions and liaise with local authorities having jurisdiction.
