Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to advance energy-efficient building systems and support large-scale healthcare, science and technology projects.

You will develop system designs from concept plans, interpret basis of design information, and coordinate with users and partners to ensure code compliance. The role requires 5+ years of HVAC design experience, an Associate’s Degree in HVAC or Architectural Design, and proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in HVAC or Architectural Design or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years of experience in HVAC design.
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD required.
• Understanding of applicable design codes and specification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Establish design criteria and develop system designs from concept plans and basis of design information gathered from users, project partners, field surveys and code research.
