Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5-12 years of mechanical design and engineering experience.
• Experience designing HVAC, plumbing, hydronic, and building mechanical systems.
• Proficiency with mechanical design software and Revit/BIM/CAD platforms.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, codes, standards and industry best practices.
• Experience performing engineering calculations and system analyses.
• Strong communication, documentation, and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative office-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for all project phases.
• Support the design of HVAC, hydronic, piping, plumbing, and building mechanical systems.
• Perform engineering calculations and analyses including load calculations, airflow analysis, pipe sizing, and pressure drop calculations.
• Create and maintain 2D and 3D mechanical design models using BIM platforms.
• Review project requirements, design criteria, standards, and codes for compliance and design quality.
• Coordinate deliverables with internal teams, consultants, stakeholders, and clients.
• Participate in design reviews, QA processes, and coordination meetings.
• Review technical documents, submittals, and RFIs to support project execution.
• Assist in resolving design conflicts and coordination issues during planning and development.
• Contribute to engineering standards and design best practices.
