Job summary

SPX Technologies, part of the Engineered Air Movement group, is seeking a Senior Engineer I – New Product Development to design, develop, test, and launch new industrial fan products. You will collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing, and quality teams to deliver cost-effective, manufacturable solutions that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, engineering design, testing, and documentation, with opportunities to influence product

Qualifications

• 8+ years of design engineering experience in product development or manufacturing
• Experience with CAD software (Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar)
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability (DFM)
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment

Responsibilities

• Design and development of new industrial fan and air movement products
• Creating engineering models, drawings, BOMs, and performance specifications
• Performing engineering and product testing; verifying product performance
• Cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, sourcing, sales, and quality teams
• Vendor evaluations, issue resolution, and supporting project deadlines and production schedules
