Job summary

SPX Technologies, Cincinnati Fan division, is seeking a Senior Engineer I - New Product Development to design, develop, test, and launch new industrial fan products. You will partner with manufacturing, sales, sourcing, and quality teams to deliver cost-effective, manufacturable solutions that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

You will contribute to design-for-manufacturability, perform engineering analyses, and create models, drawings, specs, and BOMs for global projects while driving

Qualifications

• 8+ years of design engineering experience in product development or manufacturing.
• Experience with CAD software (Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability (DFM).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Developing new mechanical product designs.
• Continuously assess technical risk, and mitigate through engineering calculations and CAE.
• Creating engineering models and drawings; specifications, BOMs.
• Supporting global product development projects.
• Performing fan/product performance selections.
• Developing innovative design solutions for customer and engineering problems.
• Strong continuous improvement mindset.
