We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Baton Rouge engineering team to support planning, design, and execution of mechanical projects for industrial facilities. The role involves developing technically sound solutions for new installations and modifications from front-end engineering through detailed design, procurement, and construction.

The successful candidate will collaborate with project managers, engineers, designers, clients, vendors, and construction personnel

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college.
• 5+ years experience in industrial facilities preferred.
• Experience with fixed/rotating equipment and related engineering documentation.
• Familiarity with ASME/API/ANSI/ASTM/NFPA/OSHA codes.
• Field brownfield experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Develop mechanical engineering designs, calculations, specifications, data sheets, equipment lists, requisitions, and technical bid evaluations.
• Specify and evaluate fixed and rotating equipment including pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, and packaged equipment.
• Review P&IDs, equipment layouts, vendor drawings and other design documents.
• Prepare equipment specs and procurement packages per project and client requirements.
• Perform vendor proposal evaluations and equipment selection recommendations.
• Coordinate mechanical design with process, piping, civil, structural, electrical, instrumentation, and construction disciplines.
• Ensure designs meet industry standards, client specs, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Review deliverables for technical accuracy and constructability.
• Communicate with clients, vendors, and stakeholders on requirements and status.
• Participate in design reviews, hazard reviews, and project coordination meetings.
• Maintain engineering documentation and quality-control procedures.
• Manage multiple assignments to meet schedules, budgets, and quality.
