Job summary

Bechtel Global Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to oversee technical aspects of mechanical systems for the Salt River Project Pumped Storage Project. This role focuses on engineering, coordination, and support for EPC execution, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have robust engineering experience, especially in mechanical designs related to hydropower systems, and demonstrate strong communication skills within a diverse team environment.

Qualifications

• 15 years overall experience in engineering.
• 10 years of experience in MEP design for power/industrial projects.
• Progressive experience supporting powerhouse or BOP systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform and review design for mechanical systems and equipment.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with other disciplines.
• Support construction and commissioning activities.

Skills

Knowledge of current computer applications for mechanical engineering

Strong knowledge of pumped storage / hydropower auxiliary systems

Ability to communicate technical information

Experience supporting commissioning and handover

Education

BS or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering

Tools

CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD)

MS Word and Excel
