Job summary

Bechtel is seeking an experienced MEP Lead in Phoenix, AZ to oversee the engineering, coordination, and technical oversight of MEP scope for the Salt River Project Pumped Storage Project (SRPSP). The role supports design development, constructability reviews, and commissioning for a large pumped storage facility, requiring collaboration with JV partners, design consultants, and the customer.

Qualifications

• Professional/Chartered Engineer preferred.
• Knowledge of CAD and MS Office for design reviews.
• Broad knowledge of US government compliance standards.
• Experience with pumped storage/hydropower systems.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead and review MEP design for SRPSP systems and equipment.
• Coordinate with Civil/Geotechnical, Architectural, and Construction teams.
• Interface with OEMs for integration into powerhouse systems.
• Provide construction and commissioning support during execution.
• Manage MEP interfaces between Powerhouse, Underground, and surface facilities.
• Chair discipline meetings and report actions.
