Job summary

Middough Inc. seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design across multiple projects in a consulting environment. You will own technical scope, interact with clients, and drive key objectives while coordinating with internal teams and vendors.

Strong hands-on 3D design and leadership capabilities are required to ensure operability, reliability, and safety. Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in mechanical engineering, a PE or pursuing one, and proficiency in AutoCAD/Plant3D,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• PE license or ability to obtain PE; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years in mechanical engineering with multi-discipline design experience.
• Experience with pressure vessels, material handling, and piping analysis.
• Expertise in 3D design tools (AutoCAD/Plant3D, SolidWorks, Inventor, Revit, NavisWorks).
• Project lead or design-team leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical work on projects and manage resources.
• Develop designs, specs, and data sheets; evaluate bids for best value.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams; control schedule and budget.
• Review deliverables for engineering standards and safety.
• Conduct field observations and perform engineering calculations.
• Lead 3D design reviews with client teams and integrate multi-discipline inputs.
• Coach and develop junior staff; ensure timely project completion.
