Wendel is seeking a Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer to join our Albany, NY team. The role focuses on leading HVAC system design, hydronic and district energy work, and overseeing project portfolios.

You will collaborate across offices on nationwide projects, contribute to business development, and mentor junior engineers in a dynamic, client-facing environment. A hybrid work policy and strong benefits support are provided.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited 4-year institution.
• 6 to 14 years of Mechanical Engineering experience with HVAC systems and distribution.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• PE license is highly desired but not required.
• Consultant background and big-picture thinking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Business development and client relations.
• Perform advanced HVAC system engineering including hydronic, airside, geothermal, and district energy plants.
• Portfolio and project management.
• Provide on-the-job training support to junior department members.
