Job summary

GM2 Associates, Inc. seeks mechanical engineers to develop construction documents for HVAC and mechanical systems across New England, with options for Medford, MA or Glastonbury, CT offices.

Responsibilities include field investigations, drafting, client interface, and coordination with other disciplines. Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is required; EIT/PE in NE states or FL preferred or obtainable within six months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and other engineering design software.
• EIT or PE license in a New England state or Florida preferred, or ability to earn within 6 months.
• 5-10 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Study and investigate mechanical systems and interface with clients.
• Perform field work and drafting tasks to produce contract documents.
• Coordinate with engineers from other disciplines/companies.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, reports detailing mechanical systems.
• HVAC system design, equipment selection, and air distribution layout.
• Attend meetings and communicate design issues with clients.
• Perform initial field investigations to support construction administration.
