Job summary

GM2 Associates, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to develop construction documents for HVAC and mechanical systems.

The role supports Medford, MA and Glastonbury, CT offices, performing field work, drafting, and coordination with clients and engineers. You will work on schematic through construction administration, with emphasis on building systems, equipment selection, and code-compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and other engineering design software.
• Proven interest in working in the field of mechanical systems.
• EIT or PE license in a New England state or Florida preferred, or ability to earn within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Study and investigate mechanical systems and interface with clients.
• Perform field work and drafting tasks to produce contract documents.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of software (Revit, AutoCAD) and procedures.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, reports, and documentation detailing mechanical systems.
• Work independently on HVAC and mechanical systems for various facilities.
• Coordinate with engineers of other disciplines and clients.
