Job summary

EXP is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in the Coral Gables/Fort Lauderdale area to lead retail/hospitality HVAC design projects. You will mentor designers and coordinate with MEP, architecture, and structural teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

The role requires a PE license, a Bachelor's in HVAC/Mechanical Engineering, and 8+ years of building HVAC experience. Proficiency in REVIT MEP and AutoCAD is highly desired, with on-site collaboration across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HVAC/Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years of building HVAC, plumbing and piping design experience.
• Experience in designing HVAC systems for Buildings Projects.
• Be able to lead a team of designers or engineers.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.).
• REVIT MEP and Auto CAD Proficiency highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Prepare one-line diagrams.
• Prepare/ Review calculations for loads.
• Edit specifications to reflect the project requirements.
• Develop equipment room sizes during SD and DD phases.
• Select and schedule equipment.
• Coordinates with other disciplines (MEP/FP, arch, struct).
