Job summary

EXP is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the mechanical team for Hospitality HVAC design projects in the Miami (Coral Gables) or Fort Lauderdale, FL office.

In this role you will perform CAD tasks, load calculations, equipment selection, and coordination with multiple disciplines.

We value hands-on designers with 0–3 years of experience and a BS in HVAC/Mechanical Engineering; EIT is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HVAC/Mechanical Engineering.
• 0–3 years of HVAC design experience or internship.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• EIT certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on CAD using AutoCAD MEP and Revit.
• Conduct heating and cooling load calculations with Trace, Energy Pro, and DOE.
• Select and schedule equipment under senior staff oversight.
• Layout air and water side systems on working drawings.
• Coordinate with other disciplines for HVAC details.
• Maintain project engineering calculation books and plan workloads.
