Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group in San Diego (also LA) seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design on major healthcare projects, requiring a PE and a proven consulting background. You will coordinate with clients, architects, and engineers through all project phases.

You will produce reports, specifications, and drawings, manage budgets and schedules, and advance sustainable mechanical solutions using AutoCAD and REVIT. The firm offers a supportive culture and strong professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• PE registration is required for the role.
• Experience in a consulting firm on healthcare projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Firm in client interactions and lead design of large mechanical systems.
• Prepare reports, specifications, and drawings and provide technical leadership.
• Coordinate with design team, owner, and contractors.
• Develop design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects.
• Assist in proposals, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Participate in QA/QC processes and staff reviews.
