Job summary

OEI is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer/Professional Engineer with 10+ years of experience to lead DoD and federal projects using Revit and AutoCAD. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary A/E team on municipal, land development, healthcare, and defense facilities.

The ideal candidate will hold a Texas PE license (or be willing to obtain within 12 months) and have knowledge of UPC, IPC, IMC, NFPA, ASHRAE, and IBC, with LEED preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Mechanical design experience required.
• 6+ years of Department of Defense (DOD) design experience.
• Minimum of 5 projects as DOR/EOR.
• Proficiency in understanding building codes and standards (UPC, IPC, IMC, NFPA, ASHRAE & IBC).
• Design experience including HVAC, building automation controls, and plumbing (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design in MEP related projects coordinating with all disciplines and clients.
• Communicate effectively and manage time to meet project goals.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, civil, structural and architectural teams.
• Assist in determining project scope and data collection from the field.
