Job summary

XDIN, a subsidiary of ALTEN Group, based in Hagerstown, MD, seeks an experienced mechanical engineer to lead design and development efforts for diesel engine projects across production, remanufacturing and aftermarket domains.

The role requires a BS in Engineering with 5+ years of mechanical development experience and strong analytical and leadership skills. You will collaborate across Sales, Projects and Engineering to meet deadlines and optimize costs.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with 5+ years of mechanical development experience.
• Heavy or medium-duty diesel engine development a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention to detail skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct, develop and evaluate project plans for designers, technicians and engineers across production, remanufacturing and aftermarket.
• Provide technical guidance to the project team and ensure deadlines are met.
• Prepare and estimate program costs and maintain budgets.
• Receive assignments with objectives and apply sound professional judgment to complex problems.
• Analyze components and assemblies to determine best cost-effective actions.
