Job summary

Yale University is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer, Energy Planner to lead energy management projects across the university. You will collaborate with the capital planning team, operations staff, and external design professionals to conceive and implement impactful energy conservation initiatives.

The role conducts energy analysis, develops projections, evaluates campus performance, and translates data into actionable investment strategies, including utility incentive programs and funding

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and eight years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the formulation, design, construction and commissioning of projects overseen by the University's capital projects group.
• Facilitates commissioning of new and renovated mechanical systems including testing and training.
• Directs complex engineering projects by retaining outside consultants and contractors and overseeing execution.
• Assists University operations staff in troubleshooting mechanical systems.
• Formulates projects for replacement or enhancement of mechanical systems.
• Reviews campus automation systems and budgets for projects.
