Job summary

RTX’s Hardware Electrical Engineering team seeks a skilled engineer to design, validate, and produce digital electronic designs and systems for aerospace applications in Massachusetts. You will collaborate across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain and Quality to ensure designs meet technical requirements and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM and at least 2 years of relevant experience in electrical hardware.
  • Experience taking a design from initial requirements or block diagrams through detailed hardware design, verification, testing, and system integration.
  • Ability to analyze existing designs, troubleshoot hardware failures, and identify root causes.
  • Experience using electronic test equipment to validate hardware performance.
  • Familiarity with the Aerospace and Defense product development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, simulate, test, integrate, and troubleshoot digital electronic designs and systems.
  • Develop and evaluate hardware designs from initial requirements and block diagrams through testing and system integration.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to ensure designs meet technical requirements and quality standards.
  • Analyze existing hardware designs, identify issues, and troubleshoot failures to determine root causes and corrective actions.
  • Select, evaluate, and integrate commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware, including servers, switches, add-in interface cards, storage devices, and other computing hardware.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve technical and production-related issues.
  • Prepare technical documentation and present technical information to internal and external stakeholders.
