Job summary

Evolv Technology is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to own mechanical design from concept through production, emphasizing injection‑molded plastic components and integrated electromechanical systems. You will model in SolidWorks, manage data in Arena PDM, and collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain across a global footprint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in mechanical design of electromechanical products.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD; Arena PDM experience preferred.
• Understanding of plastics injection molding, sheet metal, and machined parts.
• DFx, tolerance stack‑up analysis, GD&T, and materials selection knowledge.
• Experience with suppliers, global contract manufacturers, and mid‑volume production.

Responsibilities

• Execute mechanical design and development for new and existing products, with emphasis on injection‑molded plastic components.
• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and production‑ready drawings in SolidWorks or an equivalent CAD system.
• Translate product requirements into mechanical design specifications and contribute to design reviews and technical decisions.
• Design precision electromechanical assemblies and enclosures, and manage the full product lifecycle from concept through production tooling and sustainment.
• Apply DFM/DFx, tolerance analysis, and reliability considerations to improve performance and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with electrical engineering, firmware, industrial design, supply chain, quality, and manufacturing partners to ensure cohesive system integration.
