Adecco Portugal is sourcing a Senior Mechanical Engineer for an aerospace client in New Jersey. The role focuses on leading mechanical design and development with strong electromechanical packaging experience.

You will collaborate with electrical, manufacturing, quality and suppliers to deliver reliable, manufacturable designs from concept to production, addressing thermal, structural, vibration and environmental requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires hands-on electromechanical packaging experience.
• Must understand thermal, structural and vibration considerations for aerospace products.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical enclosures, housings and mounting structures for electromechanical products.
• Integrate PCBs, connectors, wiring into mechanical assemblies while considering space and serviceability.
• Work with electrical engineers to define interfaces and packaging requirements.
• Develop thermal management solutions including heatsinks and cooling paths.
• Perform/coordinate structural, thermal and vibration analyses to verify performance.
• Create 3D models, drawings, BOMs and documentation with configuration control.
• Lead design reviews and mentor engineers.
