Job summary

Leidos in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the development, fabrication, integration, testing, and deployment of advanced hardware for Department of Defense customers.

You will create 3D models and drawings, perform analyses, and collaborate with machinists, fabricators, and vendors to deliver robust, manufacturable systems. Prior experience with SolidWorks and DoD programs is preferred.

Qualifications

• BSME with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• U.S. citizen able to obtain DoD clearance.
• Experience taking mechanical designs from concept to testing.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D solid models and detailed mechanical designs through fabrication and testing.
• Perform engineering analyses to support design decisions.
• Create and maintain engineering drawings with tolerances per standards.
• Collaborate with machinists, fabricators, vendors, and engineers to develop manufacturable hardware.
• Provide technical leadership for mechanical subsystems and manage multiple tasks.
